Watercolours Into the Ocean

Tully Rohrer

February 25th, 2006

I took this image ages ago. At least it feels like a long time ago… a month or so? This old man was painting a picture of the bay right at the Catalina isthmus off of the town of Two Harbors. I took his implied advice today and relaxed down at the shore and played guitar. Really good plan, especially with a busy brain. Speaking of which, anyone hear the song “Rubies” off of Destroyer’s new album? Pretty awesome.
Anyway, I like the simplicity of this image. I also like the gradient of the sky, even though the palm leaves can be a little hard to distinguish from the sky (though on my computer monitor it’s not so bad - hopefully that’s the same for you, kind reader). As always, I welcome your comments, positive or negative.
