How did you do the lighting in this picture!? It’s incredible!

Marc - the egret was actually standing right next to a building, and depending on where I took the picture from, the background was the white wall of the building (in the case of ”A Strange Visitor” or the tinted glass door (in this case). Made it very convenient for a perfect black or white background. The even lighting is due to a light cloud layer and the fact that the white wall reflected the sunlight pretty evenly on both sides of the bird - quite a lucky situation of natural lighting.
