Through the Coppice and the Chaparral

This is Katie on the summit ridge of Red Mountain, which connects to the Skyline Drive. The tufts of grass make the whole area look like some surreal painting, which is pretty great for photography.

Song of the Day: Andrew Bird - Cataracts
Very few people use strings as effectively as Andrew Bird. No surprise, really, but hey, gotta enjoy it while you can. This song is perfectly beautiful in its melancholy state.

I’ve gotta say, you’re doing a great job with your black and white processing recently.

Really amazing photo Tulls, and I always appreciate an Andrew Bird music choice.

I, again, knew this was Katie Bair. I’m getting as smart as you, Tully.

Great composition; the way the hillside curves really directs your eye toward the elephant...
