The Time to Ride II

Tully Rohrer

November 10th, 2007

Here’s the first time to ride shot. This one was taken about ten minutes later. I liked the other one for the bigger wave, but this one is much more even in terms of exposure. I still can’t believe how amazing that afternoon was - about 85 degrees and dead calm. We live in paradise.

Song of the Day: Regina Spektor - Hotel Song
I am currently the aquarist here (animal and aquarium caretaker), which is pretty dynamite because I get to listen to music all day. I have a 24 hour long mix I’ve been listening to, and despite all those different songs, this is the one that keeps getting stuck in my head. With the pretty minimal instrumentation, it also reminds me of a cappella singing, just like my old college roommates used to do all the time. Also known as “doo wop shoo wop nonsense” as Optic Distraction guest photographer Peter Osborn calls it. But the song is good. Listen to it.
