The Tatter

Ben Weston beach, Catalina Island. This beach faces straight out into the Pacific, and actually has an old bunker at the top from when the island was occupied as an OSS spy training facility during World War II. A lot of United States history there. I like this image for its genuine feel and its ability to be interpreted in whatever way you feel, regardless of your level of patriotism or current opinions on U.S. foreign policy.

Noteworthy release of the week: Menomena - Friend and Foe
Menomena is due for a lot of press with this release. This album is varied, energetic, beautiful, and unique - and album opener Muscle n’ Flo is all of those things, too. It also has the best “defeated” lyric of the week: “If Jesus could only wash my feet… then I’d stand up and muscle on.” Highly recommended!

I like how timely this photo feels considering the current political climate we are in at the moment while still being a simply beautiful shot. Amazing to have the beach in the background. Well done Tulls!
