The Air Was Better Up There

While New England experienced record high temperatures during December, southwestern Colorado had plenty of snow. Our normal dog-walking route takes us right through this grove of aspens, which was also featured here. This also marks the first time my mom has been featured on opticDistraction, even if she is a small black silhouette.

My song of the day is Frozen Feet by Tacks, the Boy Disaster. A smooth, rhythmic song with a rolling drum beat, this song imparts a strong feeling of urgency yet remains very beautiful. I don’t know much about this band, but I should know more…
