Red and Green

I went for a long photo safari through the city the other day with the intent of concentrating on light, color and shape. I found myself specifically focusing on blocks of colors and right angles. My next several images will be from this series. I’m going to tag each of these images with “2d” because when taking these shots I tried to mentally flatten the scene in front of me and visualize it as a painting with large swaths of color.

I like the saturation and sharpness of this one. The little spec of yellow grafitti is interesting as well. The flatness definately works the further back you get from it, especially with the tree shadow.

I like the colours in this shot - the textures, too. Basically I like everything about it.. :-)
