Plant Painting #1

Something different today. I decided to try a technique described on the Macro Art in Nature blog. First off, it’s an amazing site, and Michael Brown has a ton of great images. Second, I thought the technique he described today was pretty interesting, and really liked to effect he acheived. I wasn’t nearly as successful as he was, but I enjoyed trying.

Cool result - really abstract. The colors are beautiful, and the background gradient is awesome.

Simply, wow… I don’t know why, but this image just makes me happy. It is incredibly pleasing to the eye.
