The Palisades is one of my favorite spots on Catalina Island. I’ve been there a bunch of times now, but every time it amazes me. The cliffs are just so high - 1000+ feet in places, and they rise right out of the sea. Truly breathtaking. The boats in front are squid boats - there were 43 of them by my count in front of Salta Verde alone. Biggest commercial fishery on California’s coast!
Song of the Day: Broken Social Scene - 7/4 Shoreline
Because:
1) It’s in 7/4 meter just like Wednesday’s song.
2) The photo is of a shoreline.
3) It freaking rocks.
This is one of my favorite songs ever - great for everything.
The really striking thing about this photo is that is doesn’t look like a photo at all. It looks like a painting. Especially if you look at the cliff because you can make out brush strokes. And you gotta love Broken Social Scene!
