This is a striped shore crab from the tide pools around Toyon Bay. I picked this guy up and placed him in this little rocky cave, effectively cornering him with my lens. Our private little photo shoot had me laughing the whole time as the little guy threatened me with his claws. Every time he heard my shutter close, he thrusted his claws into the air and ran back and forth. Very intimidating, little fella. He’s a fighter.
