Backdrifting

It’s no secret that photographing rock climbing is what ignited my passion for photography. This is an old, old image, from 2004, actually, but I haven’t had an opportunity to take any photos lately, and no one checks the site on the weekends anyway. This is Victor Guzik on a 5.9 called Loose Lady in Joshua Tree, California.

I used to go to Joshua Tree all the time. Either extremely hot or extremely cold but a gorgeous place. Nice shot. I like how the sky makes a nice gradient.

Um, hello, I check the site every day thank you very much, including weekends. I love that this picture completely illustrates how BIG everything but the person is. I love it.
