A Lost Lake

My father and I spent the better portion of Saturday trying to locate the three Lost Lakes of the Poconos. Only two of them are truly “lost”, as one has a trail to it, but the other two are amazingly difficult to get to, let alone find. Some of the most dense rhododendron thickets I’ve ever seen guard the lakes on all sides. This is Lost Lake #2, and as you can see from the vegetation on the shores, it’s hard to reach. And, as you can tell from the placid nature, it is tucked away and very isolated. This, of course, made it incredible for reflections…

I love how vivid this image is. Did you use a polarizer or something? That sky is intense!

Lovely rich hues. I like the depth and intensity in the sky and water.
