72nd Street Symmetry

Justin Gallagher

June 28th, 2007

This is the eastern wall of the 2/3 station at 72nd street. I liked the way the dark hexagonal blocks of the sidewalk lined up directly in the middle of the windows.

Also, there had been some problems with accessing archived images from our RSS feed. This should be fixed, but please let me know if you notice anything funky goin’ on. Thanks!

What I like about this one is that there is symmetry but just a few elements that are not lined up which create movement for the eye. You have a strong design sense in your compositions.
